Healthy Snacks: Edamame Hummus.
This bean is packed with iron and calcium. Iron helps to produce hemoglobin, which carries oxygen to the body. Cook ten cups of edamame. Grab a food processor and pour in ten ounces of cooked edamame, half of a lemon, one garlic clove, and a half teaspoon of cumin. Pulse into well blended and then add a quarter cup of olive oil slowly. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Dip whole wheat pita chips or fresh vegetables for a delicious snack.
