School All Day in Taiwan and Korea

Students in Taiwan and Korea start school between the ages of 2 and 3.  They have very little playtime in school and study a wide range of academic subjects.  The school also lasts for between 10 and 11 hours per day which seems like an insane amount of time to be away from your child.
