What You Learn From an Orientation Meeting

There are many things that you will learn during an orientation meeting.  The following are some of them.

• You will be able to learn about the roles and responsibilities that you will have as a foster parent.
• The process of becoming a foster parent will be explained to you.
• The next steps to becoming a foster parent will be explained to you.
• When attending you should have an open mind and open heart.
• It is important to listen carefully to what is being said during the meeting.
• Make sure that you take notes about what you need to do to be ready, when the next meeting is going to be, and who you need to be in contact with.
