Want/Need: Noch Mini

One look at the photo above (and below), and there’s really no doubt why we Want/Need a plethora of items from the Noch Mini line.

Founded in New York in 2010, the label is the brainchild of designer and mama Jina Jang, a Parsons grad with lines for Tommy Hilfiger, Bill Blass, Ann Taylor, and Kenneth Cole on her resume.

After having her daughter, the designer wanted to provide her with high-quality, organic clothing, but found the market to be lacking in that category—especially in design and color options. So, like any industrious (and mega talented) mama would do, she started her own fashion company!

Serving up “simple, sophisticated, well-designed, comfortable children’s wear that’s also all-organic,” all items in the Noch line are free from harsh chemicals and use low-impact dyes. And of course the designs are ridiculously cute—drop-crotch shorts and pants, gorgeous rompers and overalls, shift dresses for the girls, and button-ups in the most fabulous of prints for boys are included in the offerings. (It’s honestly a bit hard to explain the label in words. Just check it out here!)

And, in case you’re wondering: The name NOCH represents the basic elements of everything living and organic: N (nitrogen), O (oxygen), C (carbon), and H (hydrogen).

So, what’s up next for the four-year-old label? In addition to an amazing Fall ’14 collection on the way, “we’re starting to design our own fabrics, instead of using what is offered, which is very limited for the organic industry,” Jang tells us. “Also, if there is an opportunity, we want to explore having an adult line as well.”

Um, yes please!
