Who Can Be a Foster Parent?

The rules for who can be a foster parent vary by state.  However the following are generally considered to be requirements regardless of where you live.

• You must show stability, dependability, and maturity.
• You have to be able to advocate for the children that you foster.
• You should be willing to be part of a team with the child’s biological parents and the case worker.
