Why Should You Give Free Range Parenting a Shot?

The main reason that is sited for parents to try this relaxed parenting approach is that it offers your child the ability to have a higher sense of self and a greater level of self esteem.  This is because they learn to develop into their own person.  I personally think that maybe I will loosen up a bit and allow them to play in our fenced in back yard alone, as long as big brother is out there too but I do not foresee my kids running the streets of our neighborhood anytime soon.
