If your child comes home from school, watches TV, plays video games, does homework, eats, and then goes to bed they are not getting enough physical activity in.  Stop allowing your child to have a snack in front of any type of game or TV show.  Also stop offering snacks that are not healthy.  Instead give your child the healthier options and teach them not to eat while doing anything other than eating.
