Herd Immunity

At one point in the US the measles was almost completely eliminated because such a large majority of the people were immunized.  For someone who had a compromised immune system and could not be immunized herd immunity seemed to work.  With rising rates of people choosing not to immunize, herd immunity might not be the best defense these days.

Learning about the different lines of defense against the measles is more important now than it has been in recent years.  There is a chance that you or your child might be exposed and knowing these steps could prevent them from getting the disease.
