Toddler craft time can be quite difficult.  You might not believe it but there are some amazing crafts that you can make with your toddlers to use as gifts.  These are things that your toddler gets to help you with and can be perfect for any of the important people in their life.

  Creative Canvases

There are so many amazing things that you can do with canvases with your toddler.  I personally love the butterflies that are made from foot prints and flowers that are made from hand prints.  The fish that are made from handprints are pretty cute too.g  These are both adorable and can help save memories from a specific time in your child’s life.  If you do not want to give someone a canvas you can create these images on things like flower pots or plates.

Painting That Can Look Decoration Worthy

I will admit that most of the time when my toddler is painting it is not something that I would want to decorate with.  The thing is that there are ways that you can create amazing paintings with your toddler that can be treasured and actually used as part of your décor.  This year I found adorable small wooden trays and I painted them different colors.  Then I had my children each paint a flower.  I did the stems so that they would be uniform.  Even my toddler was able to paint an abstract circle that was made into a cute flower with the addition of a stem.  I have been asked several times where I purchased these at and was able to share with family and friends that they are something that my children made with me.

Fun Christmas Ornaments

Although we just had the holiday season it is never to early to start thinking about the next year.  There are so many different types of ornaments that you can make with a toddler to give as gifts.  Some of them are perfect for years to come while others might only be enjoyed one year and could be a traditional gift that your child creates each year.  There are so many things that you can do with your toddler for Christmas ornaments.  Another great idea for ornaments is to take your toddler to a pottery place where they can paint their own ornaments for family.  Most toddlers will not be able to get even coats of glaze but these can still be an adorable gift for grandparents and teachers who will appreciate that it is something that your toddler created on their own.

There are many things that you should consider when trying to create something that is giftable with your toddler.  The first is to make sure that your toddler is actually doing something.  I have seen so many crafts where I could have made it but there is no way that my toddler would have been able to do much more than sit on my lap and watch me.  Another is that you want to make sure that it is something that is high in quality and something that the person who is receiving it can use.
