We’ve been overwhelmed by the excitement and support you’ve all shown for our Ice Cream adventure! If you’re new around here, Kate and I participated in an event last year where we developed ice cream flavors for the Kroger brand, Private Selection, representing the regions where we each live.
There was a great group of talented food writers participating and all of our flavors went up for a national vote. We were ecstatic when an Our Best Bites flavor was crowned the winner, therefore being sent into production to be sold in stores across the country as a Limited Edition! You can now find our Huckleberry Pie Ice Cream in Kroger and Kroger family stores nation-wide.
We have been LOVING seeing all of you instagramming and facebooking pics of the ice cream. Seriously, it’s awesome. So we thought we’d celebrate! Who’d like $100 in free groceries?? (Me! Me!) Just think of all the ice cream you could buy. Here’s how it’s gonna roll.
This is a social media giveaway. To enter the $100 Grocery Giveaway, simply post an ice cream selfie to Instagram, (or Twitter, or Facebook. If you post to facebook, you must set the picture visible to the public so we can see it.) It can be you, your dog, your cute kid, doesn’t matter! Just make sure you’re holding a pint of Private Selection Huckleberry Pie Ice Cream (or another flavor of Private Selection if Huckleberry Pie isn’t available) and you MUST include the following hashtags so we can see it! If you’re on instagram, also tag @kate_ourbestbites and @sara_ourbestbites!
**If your account is private we won’t be able to see your photo and you are NOT entered. You’ll have to either set it to public for a week, OR, after you’ve posted it to your own account, direct message me (Sara) your pic on Instagram and I’ll post it for ya! You can also email us ([email protected]) your pic and your Insta name and we’ll post it in our feed!
Many of you have already posted pics like this- if so, just post it again with hashtags! We’ll be re-gramming some of our faves and entering you all into the giveaway. Winner will be announced in a couple of weeks and they’ll win a $100 gift card good to any Kroger family store (including Kroger, Dillons, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, QFC, Ralphs, Smith’s, Baker’s, City Market, Food4Less, Foods Co., Gerbes, Jay C Food Stores, King Soopers, Owen’s, Pay Less Super Markets, and Harries Teeter) so go grab some ice cream and pull out the duck lips- it’s selfie time!!
For you Idaho folks, a bunch of Fred Meyer Stores across the state will be doing samplings of the Huckleberry Pie Ice Cream this weekend! Here’s a list of participating stores. Swing by between this Saturday, July 26 between 10:30am and 4pm to get your free sample of the newest Private Selection flavor. Note that we will not be in attendance for any of these samplings (including a previously scheduled one in Boise) but you can still get your hands on some ice cream!
