Since we’ve started our 10 Second Studio Tour series earlier this year, I’ve had the opportunity to see so many fabulous creative spaces, each a little different, each exploring the full gamut of what it means to work creatively. Some of these studios have been sparsely decorated, temples to a clear mind and heightened focus. Others have been works of art in themselves, an outpouring of creative energy that surrounds the artist while he or she works. This, it seems, is the mode du jour at the Cobble Hill studio of Aaron Ruff, the proprietor and creative mind behind one of our favorite Jewelry brands, Digby & Iona. Located in a large, industrially-sized room that the company has called home for the past few years, Aaron’s studio space belies its relatively young age. “Anywhere will look like you’ve been there forever if you fill it with old things,” Aaron laughs as he shows me around. Indeed, the studio, filled with the tools of the jewelry-making trade, is also home to an impressive collection of antique furniture, vintage ephemera, and wonderful oddities. As much a cabinet of wonders as it is a workspace, Aaron’s studio is exactly the sort of space that you want to spend your day in. Check out the highlights from our tour above, or continue below for all of the photos. —Max
